Identifying AI Opportunity

A law firm wanted to strengthen its position in a highly specialised legal niche by making better use of knowledge assets and improving responsiveness to regulatory change. The team was spending considerable time reviewing case texts, parsing lengthy government releases for risk signals, and manually comparing contract drafts for material differences.

On top of this, they were looking to scale their business development efforts but lacked the time to repurpose internal content into client-facing materials. Each of these workflows was insight-rich but manually intensive, making them ideal candidates for targeted AI intervention.

Implementing AI Workflow

We delivered a set of AI workflows designed to amplify their capabilities without changing how the team worked day to day. We processed and classified a deep case library, summarising and prioritising decisions for internal use and client advisory. We built an AI system to scan and extract risk flags from dense government documents, surfacing relevant insights aligned to their practice areas.

For legal drafting, we trialled an AI-assisted comparison tool that highlights material differences between versions. And for business development, we mapped the firm's website content and used AI to inspire social posts and BD materials — helping the team stay top-of-mind with prospects, without starting from scratch each time.

Outcome

  • Built a searchable database of 30,000+ summarised cases for internal insight and client advisory.

  • Reduced review time for government documents from days to hours, improving responsiveness to regulatory risk.

  • Trialled automated comparison of legal drafts, increasing review speed and reducing oversight risk.

  • Upcycled website content into BD and social media inspiration, scaling marketing output without increasing workload.
